CATBACK EXHAUST SYSTEM EVO

After driving all three EVO available in the United States the EVO  does lack some of the racer-boy spirit of the previous models but it does make up for it in creature comforts and just plain drive ability. There is good news though, many after market companies have stepped in developing high performance parts.  Espelir decided to build one of the first catback exhaust systems. It is quiet yet extremely quick when needed, and handles just as well as its lighter and earlier counter parts.

The  Espelir   JGT 500 exhaust system has arrived for the 4G63. This system is for the street user that desires masterful style and power.  I was really pining for that addictive punch in the guts that only a lightweight turbocharged AWD Nihon machine can bring, but once out of the congested and oppressive heat of the city and off into the forests where the cooler air below the tree-tops could flow into the engine, the Evo had a chance to stretch its legs and with touch of water spray on the intercooler, the Mitsu started to sing.

The stock configuration 4B11T boasts 276 Horsepower at the flywheel with the factory catback exhaust. This all equates to around 220 to 230 wheel horsepower once the power is run through the EVO 10's dual clutch 5 speed manual gear box or 6-speed automatic gear box and advanced all wheel drive system. The 3 inch catback exhaust system bring the power to 286 Horsepower and gave the EVO X a much more aggressive sound when it rips down the streets and around the race car. Only a few 4 cylinders can pull off the nice throaty low tone and the EVO X with the Catback exhaust system does just that.
